Thanks to support and
cooperation from the Korean government and art circles, the KCAF opened the
Korean Pavilion at Castello Park on the outskirts of Venice in 1995, the same
year the city celebrated the centenary of its famed art Biennale. With this
establishment Korea has now become the 25th country to host its own exhibition
hall in the Italian city, which also is home to the world's greatest art festival
- the Venice Biennale - which takes place every two years. The Korean Pavilion
is expected to become a bridge to link Korean art with the art lovers of the
world.
