Procedure of Application
  for the KCAF Fund

 

 

 

 

KCAF support programs are divided into several categories: support for the creative activities of artists; support to increase the public's opportunity to gain access to artistic activities; support for international cultural exchange including that between North and

South Korea; support for the preservation and distribution of traditional culture and art

forms; support for culture and arts facilities and venues; and support for the transparent

and efficient management of culture and arts promotion activities.

 

- Support for the Artists

This support program aims to promote the creativity of artists and encourage the

production of creative works.

Aims to promote highly creative artistic productions and events in the fields of literature, fine art, photography, music, dance and theater.

Support for New Productions of Performing Arts

Gives comprehensive and practical help with new productions of performing arts (both modern and traditional) including music, dance and theater.

Support for Experimental Productions

Provides support for independent, experimental, and non-traditional artistic productions that are expected to add fresh impact to existing art forms.

Support for New Artists

Aims to find and support new talent in a variety of art fields from performing artists to curators.

- Support for the Public

This support program aims to provide the general public with more opportunities of

gaining access to a variety of arts and cultural activities, thus better meeting their

artistic needs.

Provides the general public with more opportunities to gain access to quality performances, while giving financial support to artistic organizations via the tickets for Art Lovers' program.

- Support for Cultural Exchange

This support program aims to introduce Korean culture and arts to the international audience, and hopes to recover trust, cultural integration and reconciliation between

people in both Koreas.

Provides support for cultural exchanges designed to recover trust and reconciliation between people in both Koreas, as well as Koreans living overseas.

Aims to offer support for the activities of international cultural exchanges, particularly for high-level productions hoping to introduce Korean arts to an overseas audience.

- Support for Preservation and Distribution

This support program aims to re-establish the identity of Korean culture and arts and

further develop traditional art forms and contents in a future-oriented way.

Support for the Preservation and Research of Arts

Aims to provide support for the construction of a database on arts as well as distribution and research activities.

Support for the Internet-based Construction of a Database and Information Service

Provides support for the construction of an arts database based on the Internet and digital technology, as well as the distribution of arts contents (such as multi-media materials).

Support for the Distribution of Traditional Performing Arts

Provides support for the re-discovery, presentation and distribution of traditional performing arts and cultural properties.

- Management of Arts Facilities

This support program is aimed at providing support for individual artists or art

organizations by offering - either free or at reduced rates - exhibition facilities or

venues for the exhibition or performance of arts such as fine art, photography, music, dance and traditional performing arts, thus contributing to the promotion of cultural

events and artistic activities.

KCAF Art Theater (Main/Small Hall)

Supports individual artists and organizations to present high-level art productions at a low cost by renting the performance hall at a cheaper rate, and offers quality productions for the general public with low priced tickets.

Marronnier Art Center

Supports individual artists and organizations in exhibiting fine works of art by offering exhibition spaces at reduced rates, thus ensuring that art lovers can gain easy access to the exhibition at low admission fees.
